The Savannah Youth League stands as a testament to the power of community, dedication, and the enduring spirit of youth sports. What began as a single ball field atop a hill has evolved into a thriving organization that has left an indelible mark on generations.
Building Together
This league is a product of the community's dedication. Initially equipped with just one field, the league experienced a remarkable transformation about 20 years ago. Thanks to the combined efforts of passionate individuals, we expanded to three fields, and today, we proudly boast four softball and baseball fields.

The roots of the Savannah Youth League run deep, tracing back to a single ball field perched on the hill. The community's commitment to providing a safe and vibrant space for youth sports led to the establishment of our beloved league. Concerns for safety prompted a move, down the hill, and with the collective effort of the community, the league began its journey.
The Spirit of Giving
One individual who played a pivotal role is Doyle Greshner, whose contribution of $5,000 and countless hours served as a catalyst for the league's growth. Doyle's dedication set the stage for a broader community effort. Numerous individuals rallied together, committing their time and resources to see these fields flourish.
